Mandiri Investment Forum 2023
Prevailing Over Turbulence
Mandiri Investment Forum (MIF) is Indonesia’s biggest annual investment forum, co-hosted by Bank Mandiri and Mandiri Sekuritas, and supported by the Ministry of Investment. The event aims to provide a great opportunity for investors to hear firsthand the economic and investment issues of the day in the most efficient way. Our five-day series of events comprises Macro Day, Thematic Day, and Corporate Day. The main event of Macro Day on February 1st, 2023, will be convened on a hybrid basis, which welcomes offline participants and includes a secure online conferencing platform. The previous forum was attended by approximately more than 20,000 participants, including around 700+ foreign institutional investors and global experts.
In 2023, Mandiri Investment Forum will run for the 12th year and will be an exceptionally strategic and timely forum to discuss recent economic issues, as we are currently in the midst of rising global uncertainties that could cloud the future prospects of the global economy. Questions will arise on how Indonesia’s economy can cope with the increasingly challenging global environments and geopolitical situation.
Yet, on the brighter side, Indonesia is well-known for its resilience during times of crisis due to having robust economic fundamentals and strong demographics, especially as it is one of the major commodity exporters benefiting from rising global commodity prices. Despite the challenges, Indonesia’s economy still presents comprehensive business and investment opportunities in the future. Opportunities for growth remain, especially in some sectors currently gaining traction along with the reopening economy. Consumption is still one of the main drivers of economic growth. Indonesia also continues to develop its tourism sector by holding large international events at some of its main tourist sites. The aspiration of pursuing a more sustainable growth has also led to significant development in the green energy sector. Furthermore, infrastructure projects will resume as the government continues to relocate the state capital to the new capital city, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), in Kalimantan.
MIF 2023 will unequivocally provide valuable insights and outlooks on business strategies and investment opportunities for Indonesia to maintain resilience and pursue considerable sustainable growth. It will give the audience unprecedented access to the viewpoints and perspectives of prominent speakers, including top-notch ministers, central bankers, business leaders, and professionals.
The Macro Day will be held on February 1st, 2023. It will emphasize the strategies and policies to balance maintaining stability against the background of potential global economic downturn and promoting more sustainable growth through continuous economic reforms. The thematic discussion will be held during the pre-conference thematic day on January 30th and 31st, 2023. Last but not least, on February 2nd and 3rd, 2023, the Corporate Day will focus on one-on-one and/or small group meetings between the management of mid/large-cap Indonesian companies, government officials from the Ministry of Investment, and institutional investors.
