Born in Jakarta on 21 February 1966, Hoesen was appointed as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Mandiri Sekuritas (Mandiri Sekuritas) through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on 16 May 2023. He has 30 years of experience in the Indonesian financial industry. Currently, Hoesen also serves as President Commissioner at Clearing and Guarantee Institution or Central Counterparty (CCP) for the Indonesian capital market, Independent Commissioner at PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk, and Independent Commissioner at PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk.

Previously, he served as Chief Executive of the Capital Market concurrently as a Member of the OJK Board of Commissioners (2017-2022), Commissioner of PT Danareksa Capital (2015-2017), Commissioner of PT Danareksa Investment Management (2015-2017), Director of PT Danareksa (Persero) (2015- 2017), Director of Corporate Valuation of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (2012-2015), President Director of PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI) (2009-2012), Director of KPEI (2005-2009), Head of KPEI Risk Control Guarantee Division (1996-2005 ), and Officer of the Risk Control Department of PT Clearing Deposit Securities Indonesia (IETO) (1993-1996). Hoesen holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Padjadjaran University and a Masters in Management from Pelita Harapan University.
